Since its establishment in 1999 The Merchant, as it is popularly called, has carved out its own unique place in Seville. Housed in a 1920s Seville townhouse, you are first struck by the façade of this beautifully restored building. There are two independent bars: Downstairs in the main bar you will find the impressive wall of bottles back bar and our impressive collection of malt whiskeys and rums, hence the name Merchant's Malthouse.

Upstairs offers a spacious lounge area with sofas and a pool table. Here you will find a second independent bar and we accept bookings for parties of up to 80 people.

We are widely considered to serve the best pint of Guinness in Sevilla and this is something we take great pride in striving to maintain. One of the most attractive things about The Merchant is that we are always delighted to see you return so we don't charge you inflated tourist prices. This is one of the things that keep the people coming back.

We are passionate about our sports and offer probably the most complete live coverage of La Liga, The Premiership, the SPL, Six Nations Rugby, NFL, MLB and US college sports. We have two big screens and two TVs with three satellite platforms so can show several events at the same time. We will do all we can to show requested programmes.

We offer tasty and innovative food from our kitchen which is open till late every night. House specialities include delicious spiced lamb in pita, spicy Mexican chicken tortilla wrap, creative salads and a host of vegetarian options, all great value.
